AM - MK arrived around 10.30 and with JB we set up electric from the caravan to the dig. About 50m of 240v cable used to get to the 110V transformer. Breaker and bits lowered down. MK then spent the next couple of hours chiselling before stopping for lunch, bringing up one full bucket of spoil.
PM early. JC arrived and 21 more buckets removed. JC left and MK did some more chiselling.
PM late. TH arrived and went down to try out the breaker. Both agreed a good ventilation system is required. 8 more buckets cleared. MK went down and used TH's 110V drill to drill 6 holes at 500mm, 2x10mm and 4x14mm 2m of 100 and 1m of 40 used. Noise not to bad, pressure was great though and shrapnel came out the lid. Mike.
